It is easy to understand why couples fall in love with this venue. Every part of the property feels connected to its history while still providing plenty of open space for guests to relax and celebrate.
One of the things I enjoy most about photographing weddings here is how everything flows naturally. The ceremony, family photos, couple portraits, and time with guests can all happen within the grounds without feeling rushed or needing to travel between locations.

Ceremony at Tocal Homestead
The ceremony was one of the most memorable parts of the day.
Before it began, the bride shared how excited she was to walk down the aisle with her dad. It was something she had been looking forward to from the very beginning of planning the wedding.
When the ceremony started, everyone turned to watch her make her way through the gardens. It was a simple moment, but one filled with anticipation.
She had also been waiting to see the groom's reaction.
As soon as he looked up and saw her, his smile said everything. It was one of those genuine moments that cannot be planned or recreated, and it became one of my favourite photographs from the day.
Because the couple preferred candid photography, there was no need to stop or direct what was happening. They simply enjoyed every moment together while I documented the story as it unfolded.

Following the ceremony, everyone gathered at Paterson Tavern for the reception.
It was the perfect choice to continue the relaxed atmosphere of the day. Guests enjoyed dinner together, shared stories during the speeches, and celebrated with plenty of laughter.
Before leaving Tocal Homestead, we spent some time exploring the historic buildings and surrounding grounds for portraits.
The bride had chosen this venue because she loves old architecture, and Tocal Homestead certainly delivered. The sandstone buildings, timber verandas, rustic doors, and wide country views created a timeless backdrop without needing elaborate styling.
