Where my passion meets your story: Meet Mark Roa Vergara

Hey, I’m Mark Roa Vergara, a Filipino wedding photographer based in the City of Maitland in the Lower Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. I work as a real estate photographer during the week, but weddings are where I feel most connected to what I do.

Photography has always been part of my life. It started with my grandparents’ studio, Vergara Studio in Ozamiz City. Growing up around it shaped how I see light, people, and moments. Over time, I’ve built my own style by combining what I learned from them with how I like to tell stories today.

My approach is simple. I focus on what’s real. I don’t try to control your day. I capture it as it happens. The small reactions, the in-between moments, and everything that makes your wedding feel like yours.

Outside of weddings, I still enjoy learning and improving through workshops and personal projects. It helps me stay creative and bring fresh ideas into every wedding I shoot.

My goal is to create photos that feel honest and lasting. The kind you can come back to years later and still feel the moment.
